Abstract

This study aims to identify the food crops that are based on each sub-district in Serdang Bedagai regency to identify food crops that have fast and competitive growth in each sub-district in Serdang Bedagai regency. To identify the second, second and third priority food crops in each sub-district in Serdang Bedagai regency. To know the suitability of development priorities using combined Location Quotient (LQ) approach, and shift share with program priority of Serdang Bedagai Regency Government. The data used are secondary and primary data. Data analysis used is Location Quotient analysis, shift share analysis, combined Location Quotient and Shift Share analysis, as well as descriptive
The results showed that the food crops that became the base in Serdang Bedagai Regency were paddy rice, paddy fields, cassava, soybean, peanuts, green beans, sweet potatoes, and corn. Food crops that have fast growth in Serdang Bedagai Regency are: corn, paddy rice, green beans, cassava, and sweet potato. The food plants that have competitiveness in Serdang Bedagai Regency are paddy rice, peanut, maize, green beans, soybean, and sweet potato. The most basic food crops being the main priority in Serdang Bedagai Regency are rice crops, groundnuts, maize, cassava, green beans, soybeans, and sweet potatoes. The most widely used food crops being the second priority in Serdang Bedagai Regency are cassava, rice paddy, field rice, corn, green beans, sweet potatoes, soybean, and peanuts. The most widely used food crops being the third priority in Serdang Bedagai regency are peanut, sweet potato, corn, rice, and soybean. Not as main priority, second and third food crop base based on Location Quotient (LQ) and Shift Share approach with government program Serdang Bedagai.
