Directive Acts used by EFL Learners in Responding to the Point of View
This research deals with the use of directive act as a type of speech acts. It explores the directive acts used by EFL learners in responding to the point of view. This research applied qualitative descriptive. It describes the phenomena of the language. The result explored that EFL learners (students in the fifth semester) used four classes of directive acts. They are questioning, commanding, pleading, and daring. They used these classes because of their awareness. They aware of their position in the class. Thus, they used questions for many times before deciding to do something.
